WOAH! Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 Enters The 100 Crore Club
On Tuesday, Khiladi Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2 pocketed Rs 2.45 crore taking the total collections of the film to Rs 100.37 cr
There is little doubt that Akshay Kumar is Bollywood’s most bankable star. Hence, it didn’t come as a surprise to hear that his last release, Jolly LLB 2 has crossed Rs 100 crore mark. With this it is Akshay’s fourth consecutive release to have reached the milestone – the first three being Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom.

Jolly LLB 2 collected Rs 2.45 crore on Tuesday (day 12) and with that the film has pocketed Rs 100.37 crore. Interestingly, the courtroom drama is Akshay’s seventh film to get an entry into the 100 cr club, at par with Shah Rukh Khan.

Unfortunately, Jolly LLB 2 ran into a legal controversy in the week of its release. After getting a clearance from the India's Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC), the Bombay High Court intervened, demanding that four scenes be dropped.
However, after asking the Supreme Court to over-rule that decision, the film's producer, Fox Studios, changed its mind and said it will accept the edits ordered by the High Court. Reportedly, the makers didn’t want a delay in the release of the film.
Besides Akshay, Subhash Kapoor’s sequel to Jolly stars Annu Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Kumud Mishra and Huma Qureshi.
However, all’s well that ends well. Isn’t it?
2017 looks promising for the superstar as well. Akshay will be seen in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (the shoot was wrapped up yesterday), Padman, 2.0, Crack and a cameo in Naam Shabana.
