Naam Shabana Trailer Out: Taapsee Is The Hero Of This Film!

Taapsee Pannu broke away from her bubbly, girl-next-door image with the gritty drama Pink in 2016. And now, we see a new side to the actress in the trailer of Naam Shabana.
Shabana, is a tough spy with a take-no-prisoners attitude and the film follows her on an important mission and it is quite the ride.
The film revolves around Shabana, who joins the Indian secret service, to extract revenge on her boyfriend’s killers. That is how the story of Shabana starts in the trailer.
From a bit part in Baby, Taapsee has moved to playing the protagonist in this film.
Shivam Nair, the director has let Taapsee shine while her co-stars Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Danny Denzongpa and Manoj Bajpayee, seem to orbit around her firebrand character.
The end of the trailer has a scene where Shabana asks Akshay’s character if he wants her to take the shot, to which he replies, “Itni door aaya hoon, kuch toh karne do.”
Taapsee is seen in a de-glam avatar in the film, stripped of make-up and glamorous clothes but the look lends itself well to the character, a spy hell-bent on revenge.
The one-liners by Anupam Kher add a dash of comedy to lighten up the mood in the film.
Akshay has only a cameo in Naam Shabana and the trailer gives an interesting peek into a film where Taapsee Pannu seems to be the clear hero!
