Yesteryear actress Asha Parekh is making news for spilling
the beans on her love life during her book launch, The Hit Girl. Veteran actress,
who was one of the most-loved and one of the highest-paid Bollywood actress of
her era, gave a tough fight to her male co-stars when it came to acting skills
and performance. The actress gave a splendid performance in the movies like
Kati Patang (1971), Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971), Teesri Manzil (1996) and many
more to the list. She was and has always been the true style icon.
At her book launch, the actress spilt the beans about her love for the first time. Asha Parekh revealed that she was head over heels in love with famous filmmaker Nasir Hussain. As the director was already married, the actress chose not to break his house and start a new life with him. Opening up about her past love life, she told IANS, “Nasir Saab was the only man I ever loved. I was enamoured by him. I loved him. But it was not meant to be. It would've been worthless to write an autobiography if I didn't write about the people who mattered in my life." However, she opened more about it and told Verve magazine, “Staying alone was probably one of the best decisions I made. I was in love with a married man and didn’t want to be a homewrecker so, in retrospect, it was the only choice I had, and according to the way I wanted to live my life. It was far simpler and satisfying to be on my own.”
