Actress Athiya Shetty and singer-songwriter Drake met some time ago in London and seem to have hit it off instantly. The two continue to be in touch and have, till now, successfully avoided prying eyes
Two-film-old Athiya Shetty has recently returned from
London and we hear, it was a rather interesting trip. Reason? A chance
encounter with the Canadian rapper, Drake.
The story goes thus. Athiya visited a high-end restaurant
in the city some time ago and Drake happened to be at the venue as well.
Sources say that the leggy lass caught the rapper’s attention and he couldn’t
resist enquiring about the actress.

After speaking to a number of people, Drake was informed
that Athiya is a Bollywood actress who lives in Mumbai. Soon after, the
Canadian singer-songwriter began wooing the actress and sparks flew. They
ventured out frequently and those in the know say that they enjoyed each
other’s company. So much so, the duo continues to remain in touch despite
Athiya being in India.

What’s strange is that Athiya and Drake succeeded staying
away from prying eyes -- until now.
Furthermore, Drake, who has over 38 million followers on
Instagram, follows Athiya on the platform.

Meanwhile, Athiya was last seen in Mubarkan which starred
Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz besides the actress. The film,
co-produced by Murad Khetani, Ashwin Varde and Sony Networks Pictures
Productions (headed by Sneha Rajani), was a box-office hit.
Coming back to Athiya and Drake, we wonder if this
budding friendship will go to the next level.
