CONFIRMED: Alia Bhatt-Sidharth Malhotra To Romance In Aashiqui 3, Says Director Mohit Suri
Finally Alia Bhatt will star in her home production-Vishesh Films. And what better than the successful Aashiqui franchise, that too with boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra!
Will she, will she not? Past few months there has been a dense fog on the news that Alia is replacing Shraddha Kapoor in Aashiqui 3. Although Mukesh Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra both hinted months back that Alia is the next face for the Aashiqui franchise, Ms Bhatt kept mum about it all the time. She maintained that the project is yet to be offered to her.

In fact, few days back in an exclusive interview with SpotboyE.com, Alia expressed her desire to work with Vishesh Films in future but didn’t disclose that she is already on board for Aashiqui 3. Alia said, “I am eagerly waiting to do a Bhatt film. And hopefully it will happen soon. And here’s the concrete news- Alia Bhatt will star in Aashiqui 3 with Sidharth Malhotra, confirms the director of the film Mohit Suri.

Talking to a leading daily, Mohit said, “Since it is a part of the Aashiqui franchise, Alia will play a singer.” Mohit who is currently busy shooting for Half Girlfriend is yet to decide when will he start the shoot for Aashiqui 3, but he has confirmed that Shaheen Bhatt (Alia’s sister) is penning down the script of the film. Wow, all in the family!
After romancing Sidharth Malhotra in Student Of The Year, Alia delivered a power packed performance with him in Kapoor & Sons. Aashiqui 3 will be her third film with beau Sidharth. Interestingly, all other instalments of Aashiqui franchise had new faces- Rahul Roy-Anu Agarwal in Aashiqui (1990), Shraddha Kapoor-Aditya Roy Kapur (2013).
This will be the first time that established faces will star in the franchise.
