Dangal Girl Zaira Wasim Escapes A Fatal Accident On Kashmir's Dal Lake
Aamir Khan's Dangal co-star, Zaira Wasim met with a deadly accident on late Thursday night in Kashmir.

It so happened that she was travelling along with a friend, Arif Ahmad, and their car went out of the driver’s control on the Boulevard Road in Srinagar. It accidentally fell in the Dal Lake. The car belonged to a local politician. Fortunately, local residents soon jumped in to save the people inside the car.

“Locals immediately rescued her and her companion. She escaped unhurt, but her companion sustained injuries in the accident,” a local was quoted by a leading daily.

Zaira shot to fame with Dangal last year, which showed her playing Aamir Khan's daughter, Geeta Phogat. Her character may have had a less screen time in the film, but she received immense praise for the same from the audiences.

Not just that, Aamir even offered her a new film under his home production, Secret Superstar, where she will be playing the title role. The film is based on the life story of a girl, who aspires to be a singer, but her father totally disagrees with her and forces her to not follow her dreams. He is so against the idea that he even rips off the strings of her guitar. Despite all the restrictions, she uses social media to get close to her dreams. She wears a hijab and refuses to reveal her identity as she achieves online stardom.

Aamir too has a cameo in the film, and it's quite unlike what he has done before.
