Devastated By Sridevi's Death, Look What This Girl Has Done!

30-year old Tonu Sojatia, a Pune resident and photographer by profession,  lives, thinks and talks Sridevi.

Tonu works for National Film Archive of India, Pune as part of I&B ministry. When contacted, Tonu told SpotboyE.com, "Along with my team, I participated and successfully completed the Times Women's Rally 2018. Being an ardent fan of Sridevi, we decided to pay a tribute to her.

Our theme of delivering a social message by giving tribute to Sridevi was widely appreciated and became the talking point of the rally. Tonu participated in this rally with her friends, Bhavana Varma and Paridhi Bhati (Team Bhatopa)

I got my entire car done with images of Sridevi. The front doors have images of her love and innocence in movies, while the rear doors have images of anger and dance."

This entire exercise took 1 month. All the images, including the idea of putting the lines from Sridevi's last film Mom on the bonnet of her car, were largely Tonu's brainchild.

Now, Tonu wants to drive down to Mumbai in the same car and meet Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor. "I am yearning to meet and showcase our Sridevi tribute to Mr Boney and his family. I have requested him to give me some time soon. Ideally, I would like to visit Mumbai this Sunday," she says. Will she keep the images on her car forever? Replied Tonu, "Let's see. First, let my meeting with Mr Boney happen."

Tonu adds that she has still not recovered from Sridevi's demise. "I am still in shock. I was devastated when I heard that she is no more. I loved Sridevi."

Sridevi's best work? Pat came the reply, "Mr India & Chandni."

Sridevi passed away suddenly on February 24 owing to accidental drowning in a Dubai hotel.
