After directing numerous movies, acting in a few, being a judge on reality shows, showing off his dancing skills, Karan Johar is all set to surprise his fans with his next professional choice -- Singing!

Yes, we were shocked too. Karan Johar has recently recorded a song for music composer and singer Shekhar Ravjiani.

Shekhar, from the famous Vishal-Shekhar duo, took to his Twitter account to post a picture of Karan Johar recording the song for him. He captioned the picture as, “@karanjohar records a song for me #yetanotherrole #dilhaihindustani."


Karan Johar replied to Shekhar’s tweet and said, “Thank you Shekhar sir! Singing for you was an honour…I hope this leads to a long innings as a playback singer ….for me! #dreamcometrue.”

Karan is enjoying his fatherhood as he welcomed his newborn twins- Yash and Roohi to the family. Recently, at the India Today Conclave in Mumbai, Karan Johar opened up a lot about his personal life and his professional life. However, the most talked about point were his newly born twins. When asked about who the mother of the babies were, Karan candidly said that he is more of a mother than a father to his kids.

"Seeing them (the twins) and holding them; it was one of the most surreal and overwhelming experiences of my life. I'm the mother of my children. I am a bonafied mother of my children. I'm proud to be one. I am more a mother than a father. My desire to have children was because of the deep sense of nurturing I have, I want to channel the love within me into parenting. The vacuum within me has been filled by my children." said KJo.

Coming back to his song, we are curious to know what's cooking, aren't you? Is it for a film, or one of Shekhar's single? Well, whatever the case be we're excited to hear Karan Johar sing.
