Has Ranbir Kapoor Forgotten That He Is Going To Clash With Saif Ali Khan, Sridevi & Shraddha Kapoor?

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos has been getting delayed for quite a long time. Finally first time producer, Ranbir Kapoor announced the release date for the film - July 14 - at the Lokmat Awards. 

Interestingly, this announcement makes the Friday of July 14filled with heavyweight clashes.

Saif Ali Khan's Chef is set to hit theatres on the same Friday. The movie is the remake of a 2014 Hollywood film by the same name starring Jon Favreau in the lead. This will be the second time Saif will be playing a chef on screen. He had previously donned a cook's hat for Salmaan Namaste (2005), and audiences absolutely loved his antics.



Moving on, Shraddha Kapoor starrer Haseena is also releasing onJuly 14. The film is a biopic on the life of Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar. The posters of the film became hugely popular on social media as and when they released. The film promises to showcase the underbelly of Mumbai's crime world.

Last but maybe not the least, Sridevi starrer Mom is also hitting theatres on the same Friday. The thriller also stars Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and promises to showcase how a mother goes to the extremes to order to protect her children.

With so many bigwigs clashing on the same Friday, we are sure that the weekend in question is going to see a lot of fireworks. It's for sure that if the four films in question release together they are going to eat into each other’s business.



Considering that Ranbir is the last to announce Jagga Jasoos for July 14, didn’t he put any thought to such big clashes before announcing the date? Maybe he is very confident of the Anurag Basu directed film.
