It's being said that Sidharth Malhotra had reservations to do Race 3 because it has Daisy Shah! Bhai waah! Aisi bhi kya nawabgiri?
What's happening? Has the Salman Khan
war spilled onto their proteges? We hope not. Bade log kya bhi karen, bachchon ko door rehna chahiye.
But we are hearing loud talk in the industry that Sidharth Malhotra
REFUSED Race 3 simply because he didn't want to be a part of a film which has Daisy Shah
Agreed that Sidharth has worked with the likes of Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt & Co so far but how could he forget that his alleged girlfriend Jacqueline (who is also supposedly the reason why Alia walked away from him) is also a part of Race 3? So what was wrong if Daisy too would be in some frames with him? Agreed that Daisy might not be a frontrunner in Bollywood, but Sidharth shouldn't forget that the Race franchise is a multi-starrer one. Surely those days are over when Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Raakhee and Hema Malini worked in the same film without much questions asked.
Above all, how could Sidharth say NO to a film which will star Salman Khan?
If the loud talk, which refuses to die down, is anything to go by, we wonder how Salman has taken to Sidharth rejecting Race 3? We all know how protective and caring Salman is about Daisy. FYI, Salman was the one who got Daisy fitted in Race 3. SpotboyE.com was the FIRST to break that story on August 18.
Salman Khan & Karan Johar
Does this intensify the Karan-Salman war which has been the talk of town ever since Salman said NO to co-producing the Akshay Kumar starrer Battle of Saragarhi, which is now titled Kesari? That story began when Reshma Shetty & Co (before her infamous fallout with Salman) apparently told Salman that Ajay Devgn had decided to drop the idea of producing this subject, which he was planning under his own banner, Devgn Films. Suddenly, one day, Salman happened to meet Ajay. The conversation casually veered towards Battle Of Saragarhi when Salman told Ajay that he is producing the film as he has shelved his original plan under Devgn Films. Devgn turned around and said, "Well, I was making it and I had even told your team about it. But it's perfectly fine if you are doing it. Plus koi baat nahin, I am really happy for you. No issues at my end. Please do go ahead." Salman was aghast, he almost fell off the chair. Interestingly, this was the second time that Dharma and Salman have parted ways after coming on board for a film. Earlier, Dharma Productions was supposed to collaborate with Salman on another ambitious project, Shuddhi which was eventually shelved after multiple cast changes. We brought you this SCOOP AHEAD OF EVERYONE ELSE on July 24.
We just hope it is Sidharth's individual decision, apart from the other issue- dates- being the other reason.
The third film in the blockbuster franchise will be helmed by Remo D'Souza and recent reports claim that after wrapping up Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman will kick-start Race 3...
