I Am Extremely Sorry: Varun Dhawan Apologises For ‘Nepotism Rocks’ Chant At IIFA 2017
The 18th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards saw the film fraternity applaud the finest performances of the year. However, the event made headlines for its “Nepotism Rocks” by Varun Dhawan, Saif Ali Khan and Karan Johar.

Varun Dhawan Indirectly Mocked Kangana Ranaut With Nepotism Chants At IIFA 2017

Although the trio didn’t name Kangana Ranaut directly, it was more than evident that they were referring to her. No wonder, soon after the episode, the three began facing severe backlash from Twitteratis with some many terming it “distasteful” and the three “bullies”.

Now, a while ago, Varun took to Twitter to apologise for his comments. He wrote, "Performing at #NewYorkCity iifa was an amazing experience. Inspired and humbled and sorry if I let anyone down. ❤️ #onelove"

He added, "I express my apology and regret .. I am extremely sorry if I have offended or hurt anyone with that act.."

Meanwhile, Varun paid tribute to his father David Dhawan at IIFA 2017. He also grooved to the modern version of Tan Tana Tan at the do with Salman Khan in tow.

Furthermore, the actor is all set to romance Anushka Sharma in Yash Raj Films’ Sui Dhaaga – Made In India to be directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma.

Sharat and Maneesh had earlier collaborated on runaway hit Dum Laga Ke Haisha which starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar.

Coming back to the story, well Varun, it takes a lot to realise a mistake and publicly apologise.

Kudos!
