“Katrina Kaif Doesn’t ‘Like’ Your Pictures Anymore,” & Alia Bhatt Replies

Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif share a very, for lack of a better word, confusing relationship. They started off as besties- the fact was stamped as they appeared together on Neha Dhupia’s show, Vogue BFFs. Later, with Alia’s growing closeness to Katrina’s ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor, things started souring between the two buddies. For a period, there was no contact between the two, even on social media. Gradually, when Ranbir and Alia’s relationship status was out of the closet, Katrina dropped hints of things being ‘normal’ between her and Alia, by congratulating her for Raazi’s success and the latter then wishing Katrina on her birthday. However, the buzz of things being internally ‘not very cool’ between Ranbir’s ex and present is very much prevalent in the gossip corridors.

And now, Alia Bhatt was asked about the same, last evening, as the actress unveiled her line of bags by Caprese. The Brahmastra actress refuted the news of any tension between her and Katrina. When asked why the social media ‘likes’ have disappeared, Alia said, “I don’t check my Instagram likes. So, I don’t know why people are checking that? But I have to admit I have always been very fond of Katrina. I believe that it’s the same both ways, according to us. So, I don’t know why other people feel differently? But now I will send her a message to start liking my pictures because if that’s the barometer of friendship then we must start liking everyone’s picture. Or maybe, I don’t have good pictures. But with her, I have no stress whatsoever.”

How could media let her go without speaking on the steaming hot affair with her childhood crush, Ranbir Kapoor? And pat came the reply, “I don’t react to rumours. Rumours are not meant to be reacted upon. As long as you aren’t entering my bathroom, I am fine because if you are not talking about me then maybe I am not relevant enough. But honestly, I am in a very good place both personally and professionally so no issues whatsoever.”
