Yesterday it was reported that Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya has sent him a legal notice seeking divorce and maintenance money. Her lawyer Abhay Sahai confirmed the news and informed that the notice was sent to the Sacred Games actor via email and WhatsApp on May 7, since speed post services are unavailable. He then said that Nawazuddin hasn’t responded yet. While talking about the divorce row, Aaliya had mentioned that Nawazuddin’s brother Shamas was also one of the issues. Now, Shamas Siddiqui has reacted to Nawazuddin and Aaliya’s divorce row, and said he had no clue.
When Shamas was asked about it, he told Zee News that he knew nothing of it and in fact, only found out about the legal notice through the news. Further, he said that since it is a legal matter, he cannot comment on it. Aaliya had stated that there had been serious problems in her marriage with Nawazuddin. While speaking to Bombay Times, she said, “I was made to feel like a nobody, I always felt alone. His brother Shamas was also an issue.”
Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui headed with his mother and a few other family members to his hometown in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh. He is currently under home-quarantine.
In a tweet, Nawazuddin Siddiqui revealed that his mother got two anxiety attacks due to the recent loss of his younger sister. It was also being reported earlier that he traveled to UP so that he can celebrate Eid with his family.
