PADMAVATI STAGE DISMANTLED: Deepika Padukone & Shahid Kapoor Will NOT Play At Sharjah Cricket Stadium?

The stage had been set at Sharjah. Deepika Padukone would have descended on Sharjah Cricket Ground with her male lead Shahid Kapoor, but destiny had other plans.

The event in question was Asiavision Awards slated for November 24, which has had the likes of Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit and Sonam Kapoor in the past- but this time their line-up has been diluted.
Reason- Padmavati has been postponed to February. So, Viacom 18 (producers of Padmavati) is unlikely to send Deepika and Shahid to promote the film in Sharjah, two months in advance.

What about Ranveer Singh? "Well, we don't know why, but Ranveer was not a certainty. Unka plan tentative tha, We were expecting Deepika and Shahid for sure. They had confirmed their presence. In fact, Viacom 18 itself had come forward to set up this promotion deal."
Naturally, Asiavision is grossly disappointed. Deepika and Shahid's tickets must have been cancelled. Adds the source, "The line-up is fine this year, but yeah, a lot of people were going to attend simply because of Deepika and Shahid."
