Robert De Niro starrer Dirty Grandpa shown the door
PVR Pictures is in a fix. Their upcoming English flick Dirty Grandpa starring Robert De Niro, which has been a talking point on the Internet because of its bold content, has been rejected by not only the Examining and Revising Committees of CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) but the Tribunal as well.

So if PVR wants this movie to see the light of day, they now have to either approach the Court or go back to the Examining Committee and accept the cuts to obtain a Censor Certificate which is a compulsory requirement for any producer to release his/her film.

The decision by the Tribunal, which has otherwise been quite lenient in the recent past (Love Game, Gangaajal are two cases in point), has come as a shock to PVR who felt that they too would get away with just a few minor cuts.

A source close to the development told SpotboyE, "The Tribunal members felt that Dirty Grandpa is extremely vulgar and they might rake up a big controversy if they clear it in any form. No amount of persuasion from PVR could change their minds."

Dirty Grandpa features Efron as groom-to-be Jason, who is dragged on an outrageous trip by his naughty grandfather Dick, essayed by De Niro.
