Salman's Sister Shweta Talks About How Her Husband Pulkit Deserted Her
Salman's rakhi sister Shweta Rohira and her husband Pulkit Samrat decided to end their 5-year old marriage, and it was only natural that we speak to Shweta, who was at the receiving end in this relationship.

I label Pulkit as a coward because he is still fighting shy to come out and simply say that the rumours of his extra-marital affair with Yami Gautam are untrue.

Neither is Yami Gautam ready to face the world.

Both 'errants' refused to respond to our texts and calls.

Read on for the brave girl's exclusive interview with SpotboyE:

What led to your marital discord with Pulkit?
Who wants to know?

The world wants to know...
Okay, so Pulkit and I have separated. I am staying with my mother.

That doesn't answer my question...
Pulkit said that he wants to separate from me because of his family. I have always believed him and would like to believe him in this as well. But I have no idea what was their precise problem with me.

Why would his family want a separation between you and him? Were you guys living in a village which had a Panchayat?
Ask Pulkit.

God forbid, if my mom was to tell me the same, why would I leave my wife? Why would my love for her disappear?
Love has not disappeared in our case either. Our souls have been entwined since nine years. Just staying separately does not imply that we don't love each other anymore.

But how can a married couple still in love stop being man and wife?
Isn't it a given that a marriage is accompanied with an unconditional give and take? I have always been a giver, even if it was in my relationship with Pulkit. I have always fulfilled all his wishes on the platter.

Did you see this coming?
No, I didn't see it coming (pauses). I knew that his family had a problem with me, which is exactly why we had eloped to marry five years ago. Bhai (Salman) had done the kanyadan. The function in November last year was done because Pulkit's family wanted it. But yes, whether you're married five years ago or lately, the world does shatter.

How has Salman taken this?
How would any brother take it? How would any family member take it?

Didn't Salman have a word with Pulkit and try to drill some sense into him?
For Pulkit and I, our familes are very important. If this decision was for his family, I wouldn't like to dig into it. I have lovely memories of my nine years with Pulkit and I don't want to make things ugly. Marriage is a relationship between husband and wife and I myself wouldn't like anybody intervening.

You don't want to dig into his decision, but isn't Yami Gautam the homebreaker?
Ask Pulkit. But I don't believe the rumours about him and Yami.

Did you confront him at any point?
Why would I confront him when I don't believe the rumours?

Did you speak to Yami?
A wife can sense what's going on in her husband's life. I didn't sense anything. I have read those rumours, but is it the first time that stories have been written about an actor?

I still can't digest what you're saying. You spent 9 years with Pulkit. Did you ask him why he brought you so far if he only wanted to leave you?
I enjoyed coming so far with him. I have no regrets.

Did your family accept him?
My family accepted him nine years ago when we fell in love and again, five years ago when we got married.

How have your parents taken to this?
My parents have always supported me, whether I wanted to elope or come back.

Would you have chosen your family over Pulkit if faced with such a situation?
Hypothetical question, I live in the present. Ifs and buts don't exist in my life. Like I wanted to tie rakhi to Bhai, I had barged into his house when I was in 7th standard.

If you bump into Yami, will you speak to her?
Why not?

What if you learn that the rumours between Pulkit and Yami are true?
Hypothetical again.

But you're not ruling it out...
You are trying to put words into my mouth.

What are you doing in life now?
I am a professional artiste. My life will go on as usual. I am busy writing, painting and doing many other things in life.
