Shabana Azmi Car Accident: Javed Akhtar Shares Her Health Update, Says ‘She Is In The ICU, But All Scan Reports Are Positive’
After many celebs flocked at the suburban hospital to check on senior actress Shabana Azmi’s health post a car accident, now her husband Javed Akhtar has spoken about her recovery. He in conversation with a portal confirmed of her recovery and positive scan reports
Senior actress Shabana Azmi was injured in an accident yesterday on Mumbai-Pune express highway when a truck rammed into her car. She was rushed to a hospital in Panvel immediately after the accident; and was later shifted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri. Now as per reports published in an entertainment portal Latestly.com, the actress’ husband Javed Akhtar has informed of her medical reports being showing her positive graph of recovery, but adds that she is still in the ICU. Finally her fans can heave sigh of relief.
The veteran lyricist in conversation with Bollywoodhungama.com, said, “Don’t worry. She is in the ICU but all the scan reports are positive. It seems there’s no serious harm done.” Ever since the news of the actress met with an accident hit the film fraternity, all the celebs were seen visiting her in town. Many even prayed for her speedy recovery, followed by actors such as Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor requested netizens to stop sharing pictures of this accident on the social media platforms. Also, as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, the doctors deployed to look into her treatment and gave out positive signs of the actress’ recovery on the correct path. Dr. Salgotra told the tabloid, "We did not find any injuries to the chest or abdomen, but more tests are required to confirm there is no major injury. She was conscious and responding to treatment."
An FIR was filed against her driver Amlesh Yogendra Kamat for rash driving. As reported in NDTV reports, the FIR copy read, “Due to rash driving by the driver, the car hit the moving truck on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway which resulted in the accident.”
