The Censor Board is at it again. And this time, it's the women who're going to be in for a disappointment.



So you all have heard of Channing Tatum's Magic Mike, right? The film was directed by Steven Soderbergh and was about a male stripper who mentors a youngster entering the same game. The film won mass critical acclaim and an unprecedented female fan following owing to all the sexual energy on display.
 
Now, Channing is back with its sequel, Magic Mike XXL. The sequel reunites the original cast members including heartthrobs Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash and Adam Rodriguez, who take a trip from Tampa to Myrtle Beach for a stripping convention.
 
And before you get all excited to watch the film, here's the dampener.
 
SpotboyE.com has exclusively learnt that the Examining Committee of the Censor Board recently caught a screening of the film. And they have told producers Warner Bros, in no uncertain terms, that the film cannot release in India.
 
A source familiar with the development told us that there is no explicit nudity in the film, but only implied. As far as the dialogues are concerned, there is some amount of profanity but nothing to ban it as such.
 
Said the source, After the EC was done with the film, they didnt suggest any cuts, but clearly mentioned that this film cannot be shown to the Indian audience. The studio was in shock but had no option but to re-strategise their release plan.
 
This comes months after the BDSM drama 50 Shades of Grey was banned in India. The uncertain Censor environment forced Warner to pull off the release of another of their adult-comedy, the Will Ferrell-starrer Get Hard.
 
So where does this leave Magic Mike? "They can go to the Revising Committee, but Warner is likely to withdraw the release altogether," the source said.



When we contacted Censor Chief Pahlaj Nihalani, he said, "Why are you asking me this? I am not accountable to you."
 
He further added, "Please ask Warner Bros about this."
 
We tried contacting Warner Bros, but the producers remained unavailable for comment.
 
In the past, Nihalani axed several scenes from the studio's Entourage which included all the love-making scenes and a lesbian sequence as well.
