They thank the entire media for their prayers, support and sensitivity during their time of grief. Late Sridevi Kapoor’s body will arrive in India tomorrow. We will update you on all further information as and when it’s available to us.

Request you to kindly reach out to us on everything related to this and we urge you to please not call the family for information on the same.”

Now, the latest update on the matter is that Sridevi’s body will be brought to Mumbai by evening. It is expected to leave Dubai by late afternoon.

As of now, the family is in the process of fulfilling the formalities to bring back the actress’ body back to India. According to Khaleej Times, once forensic reports are handed over, the body will be taken to Muhaisna for embalming. The process takes 90 minutes. The Police will then issue a death certificate. The Indian consulate Dubai will cancel the actress’ passport, post which the immigration department will complete administrative procedures. Finally, when the Public prosecutor gives permission to hand over the body, a private plane will fly the body to India.

Meanwhile, a few of Kapoors’ close friends paid a visit to the family at Anil Kapoor’s house yesterday.

Arjun Kapoor, Rekha, Vaibhavi Merchant, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Swara Bhasker, Javed Akhtar with Shabana Azmi, Shilpa Shetty and Rani Mukerji among others visited Kapoors.

Sonam and Anil Kapoor reached Mumbai late last evening.

Sridevi succumbed to a cardiac arrest on February 24 between 11-11:30 pm (Dubai time).
