A
few hours are left for Sridevi’s last journey to begin from Celebration Sports
Club, Lokhandwala to Pawan Hans Crematorium, where the funeral will take place.
The
truck in which the actress’ mortal remains will be taken to the crematorium is
being currently decorated. White flowers covering the entire truck and a
beautiful portrait of the actress has been placed inside the truck.
Truck Decorated For Sridevi
The
late actress has been draped in a golden and red Kanjeevaram saree and the
mortals are placed in a glass cascade. Apart from the family members, Rani
Mukerji, Manish Malhotra, Karan Johar, Vaibhavi Merchant are seated around
Sridevi’s body.
Meanwhile, Bollywood has come out in huge numbers to extend their support to the bereaved family and pay tribute to Bollywood’s first female superstar. A while back, stars like Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Hema Malini, Jaya Prada, John Abraham, Sidharth Malhotra, Kajol-Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit and a few more were spotted at the prayer meet.
Due to a heavy turnout of fans and stars at the prayer meet, the ritual has
been extended by an hour. The original scheduled time of the funeral at Pawan
Hans Crematorium was at 3:30 pm. However,
the last journey from Celebration Sports Club will now begin at 3
pm instead of 2pm (as scheduled earlier).
Sridevi’s mortal remains were brought back to Mumbai at 9:40 pm last night.
