Throwback Thursday: Abhishek Bachchan On Hospital Visits After Amitabh Bachchan's Coolie Accident

Abhishek Bachchan has time and again talked about his childhood memories with his father, Amitabh Bachchan. But somehow he has never opened up a lot about the time when Big B was injured on the sets of Coolie (1983), and what all he was going through at that time. Abhishek has now taken to social media to share a throwback picture from that time, and has narrated a few incidents from the time when his father was in the hospital. Check it out:
Abhishek captioned the pic as: "#throwbackthursday taken in the mid 80's (1985 if memory serves). I call it Big B and the Bachchan bunch. Dad was hospitalised with Mysthenia Gravis and my sister, cousins and I had gone to visit him. Being too young to understand what all was going on our parents always made it out to be like an outing so that we would not be disturbed by the hospital and its workings. When I used to visit my father after his accident on the sets of "Coolie" in 1982, seeing him connected to many drips and machines, he used to tell me they were kites that he had got for me. I was 6 yrs old. My father was fighting for his life and all I thought about was... why isn't he allowing me to play with these kites??? The innocence of childhood I guess (sic)."

On the work front, Amitabh is shooting for 102 Not Out alongside Rishi Kapoor, post which he will move on to Thugs Of Hindostan with Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif. Abhishek has been out of movie since Housefull 3 (2016), but he has recently signed 6 films, which are all set to roll out later this year. Abhishek has even penned the script of one of the films titled Sanak.
