Here’s When The All-Female Ocean’s Film Is Releasing

The film hits the US theatres in June

It’s finally here. The much talked about and awaited addition to the Ocean’s series, Ocean’s Thirteen, starring an all-female titular cast has got finally got a release date. The release date for the film is June 8, 2018.
The untitled film stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina. The film is being directed by Gary Ross and will go on the floors this month in New York. The screenplay is by Olivia Milch and Ross.

The Ocean’s series has a cult following because of the crackling storyline and the bonhomie among the all-male cast, right from George Clooney to Brad Pitt to Matt Damon. Ocean’s Thirteen, which released in 2007, was about the rag-tag group of con-men who were out to avenge the financial destruction of one of their gang members at the hand of an evil businessman played by Al Pacino. Ocean’s Thirteen made more than $300 million at the box-office. The predecessor to Ocean’s Twelve, released in 2004 and the first film in the franchise, Ocean’s 11 was released in 2001. All 3 films were directed by Steven Sodenbergh.
