Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is freshening up the whole franchise

Felicity Jones is a rebel spy in this stand-alone film

The trailer of Rogue One: A Star Wars story dropped and has impressed fans all over the world. The film stars Felicity Jones, Jyn Erso, Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, Riz Ahmed as Bodhi Rook, Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic, Jiang Wen as Baze Malbus, Donnie Yen as Chirrut Imwe, Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, Mads Mikkelsen as Galen Erso, Jyn's father, Alan Tudyk as K-2SO, a Rebel-owned Imperial enforcer droid, and Jonathan Aris as Senator Jebel. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, who has earlier given us Godzilla (2014)

The trailer promises a film right off the old block with the look and feel being what Star Wars fans have been experiencing since a while. It also promises a lot of space-age action and an emotional storyline that should be able to keep the audience hooked.

We are introduced to a group of rag-tag Rebel spies, who have to steal information for the Empire's new weapon, The Death Star.

A lot of Star Wars staple is in the trailer. There’s the Death Star and there’s even Darth Vader, who lights up the trailer at the end. No word on whether Darth’s character will have a major role or a simple cameo.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is all set for December, 2016 release.
