When asked about what music means to her, she said, "Music is pretty much the reason of my existence."

Not just that, Akriti also features on a music day anthem called Bajne Do Night & Day. Talking about her first impression of the song she said, "Even before i recorded the song, I was grooving to the song myself. That's exactly what people are going to do when they listen to the song."

So, what's her plans for World Music Day? "My music is not restricted to just one day of the year, and it's all through the 365 days of the year. That's what I want to do and keep doing lifelong," she adds.

Is there any genre that she prefers the most? "I love retro, sufi, classical, jazz and pop. I try and keep myself updated with whatever is going on," concludes Akriti.
