Being a fan of OK Kanmani‘s soundtrack, Kaara Attakkaara, I was pretty excited for this song from OK Jaanu.
Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor's Kaara Fankaara is out and the song is hell of a roller-coaster ride. It’s hippy, peppy and catchy!
Kaara Fankaara is the same track retained from the original- OK Kanmani and has been shot in an equally fun way. The special game effect that the makers have instilled in the song gives it an entertaining look!
We are glad that Rahman borrowed this gem of a composition that merges a romantic track with rap. A plethora of singers have come together in this song – A.R. Rahman, Kaly, Hard Kaur, ADK , Shashaa Tirupati, Ashima Mahajan, Paroma Das Gupta – quite enjoyable, just like the original!
After the hummable Humma Humma and refreshing title track, its third song- Enna Sona was lacklustre. Talking about Humma Humma, Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor did justice to the song in terms of their chemistry. Lovely choreography and steamy sequences shot aesthetically. Unlike the original, in this modern version our leading lady is just not shy to romance her man.
Directed by Shaad Ali, OK Jaanu has been co-produced by Mani Ratnam, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. Shaad has earlier remade Tamil hit Alaipayuthey as Saathiya and is back with OK Jaanu, which is the official Hindi remake of the hit Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen. The original was directed by Mani Ratnam and was a box-office hit.
After tasting immense success with Aashiqui 2, former lovers Aditya and Shraddha are reuniting for OK Jaanu. The film hits theatres on January 13, 2017.
