BMC CORRUPTION: Politicians Rally Behind Kapil Sharma

Kapil Sharma’s angry tweets against Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today have once again highlighted a deep-rooted problem in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) -- corruption. BMC CORRUPTION: Politicians Rally Behind Kapil Sharma
Kapil Sharma’s angry tweets against Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today have once again highlighted a deep-rooted problem in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) -- corruption. The actor-comedian was upset about a BMC official asking for Rs 5 lakh, when he approached them for the permission to build a new office (Why Is Kapil Sharma Angry With The PM?, Sep 9).

The BMC also took Kapil’s complaint seriously and asked him to reveal the name of the corrupt official. Now, there’s more development in the case.

Ram Kadam, BJP’s MLA from Ghatkopar West, has filed a complaint with the Cyber Cell, urging them to look into Kapil’s allegations at the earliest. He said the authorities have assured him that the complaint will be forwarded to the anti-corruption bureau without  

fail.

The MLA also took to Twitter, asking Kapil to reveal the name of the corrupt official.



Meanwhile, Kapil thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who had also promised to look into his allegation. In a series of tweets, he also clarified that his allegation was not aimed towards any political party.
