BUZZ: Hina Khan Was Set To Be Chandrakanta But Ekta Kapoor Turned Her Down!
Hina Khan was approached by Colors to play the lead in a fantasy series based on the popular fictional character Chandrakanta. But rumour has it that Ekta Kapoor rejected her!
Hina Khan, reigned as one of TV’s most popular faces for more than seven years with her turn in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Then in October 2016, she announced that she is quitting the show, much to her fans
dismay.
Since then Hina’s fans have been waiting for her return to the small screen. We can now tell you that Hina would have been back on TV if Ekta Kapoor had not played spoilsport.
Hina, who played Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, was approached by Colors for the lead role in the fantasy series and the modalities were being worked out.
But then came the news that Hina will not be a part of the show. So, what went wrong?

SpotboyE.com snooped around and found out that it was Ekta who vetoed Hina’s casting. Ekta was of the opinion that the audience was so used to seeing Hina as Akshara, the doting mother of two children, that they will not be able to accept her as a fantasy temptress.
Of course, TV czarina Ekta’s decision was the final one and the channel started scouting for talent once again.
They approached Jamai Raja star Nia Sharma and Digangana Suryavanshi and they are still waiting for their leading lady.

While they are still scouting for talent, LifeOK has went ahead and started airing Prem Ya Paheli: Chandrakanta, starring Kitani Mohabbat Hai star Kritika Kamra.
