Plans are afoot in Sony to turn Crime Patrol into a daily. No prizes for guessing that Sony wants to downsize Life OK's Savdhaan which seems to have engaged a large number of audience.
So yeah, Crime Patrol will hit your small screen mostly at the same time when you have planned to see Savdhaan.
Crime Patrol had been buzzing up the TRP of Sony since May 2003 with real stories of the society. But things have not been too rosy for this Anoop Soni driven shown ever since Savdhaan burst into the scene in April 2012 with similar content.
Surprisingly Sony's lacklustre marketing strategy on Crime Patrol has raised many eyebrows in the last two years, when Life OK strengthened the base of Savdhaan quite relentlessly.
Now that Sony has thrown in the towel, the stage is definitely set for a full-scale war. Jung shuru hogi from October 26. May the better player win!
