Divyanka Tripathi Beats Mouni Roy To Become The First TV Celebrity To Reach 4 Million Followers On Instagram
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress Divyanka Tripathi added another feather to her cap with the achievement. Mouni Roy is on the second spot, while Jennifer Winget and Krystle D’souza acquired the 3th and 4th position respectively
Divyanka Tripathi is one of the most sought-after
actresses on Indian television and now, there is no stopping her on social
media either. For, Divyanka has become the first television celebrity to reach
4 million followers on Instagram.
Needless to say, fans are elated with the achievement and
have been flooding her with congratulatory messages since morning. Divyanka,
who essays the role of Ishita Bhalla on Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, also posted a
throwback picture of herself with a caption saying, “In #BharatnatyamPerformances all I played was a cow or a
deer. This is how far I ever went with learning any dance form. Today whatever I do beyond that is a promotion and in life anything extra is
always welcome (sic).”
While Divyanka leads the pack, Mouni Roy is second with
2.6 million followers. Jennifer Winget enjoys 2.3 million followers and Krystle
D’souza has 2.1 million.
Divyanka is currently showcasing her dancing chops with
husband Vivek Dahiya on Nach Baliye 8. The endearing couple had a
memorable first performance as Vivek went down on his knees to propose to
Divyanka. It’s well-known that the duo’s wedding last year was a hush-hush
affair and they didn’t enjoy a long courtship period. Hence, traditional going
down on the knees and slipping a ring scenario didn’t take place.
Divyanka couldn’t stop blushing at her actor-husband’s
gesture. While she was visibly elated, she was also shy because her family
members, who were seated among the audience, were present on the sets.
What followed next was even more adorable. Divyanka, who wanted to hug Vivek,
asked her family members to close their eyes and turn back but they refused and
said that she will have to that in public.
