Ekta Kapoor Has Special Plans For Rithvik Dhanjani And Shantanu Maheshwari's Erotic Film XXX

Back in 2015, news of Ekta Kapoor's erotic thriller, XXX, sent fans of the TV czarina into a tizzy. Be it the starcast - TV's favourite boys Rithvik Dhanjani and Shantanu Maheshwari, or the reported nudity clause that was included in the contract - XXX had become the hot topic of discussion.

To be directed by Ken Ghosh, the film was to introduce on the big screen 3 of TV's hottest faces. Apart from Rithvik and Shantanu, there was talk of Maherzaan Mazda, of Nisha Aur Uske Cousins fame, to act in the erotic movie.

But alas, that was the last fans heard of XXX. What happened to the movie? Did it finally go on the floors, or not? Or was it perhaps delayed? Well, SpotboyE.com has inside news that XXX will finally see the light of day. Though, not as a film, but as a web series on Ekta's hugely popular OTT platform, ALT Balaji.

Rithvik and Shantanu will very much be a part of the cast, as initially decided. Their big screen debut might have to wait, but the boys can go ahead and make a big splash on the web space instead. At least for now!

Rithvik, who made his TV debut with Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani, shot to fame for his performance in Pavitra Rishta. He also went on to host Nach Baliye 7. When he signed XXX in 2015, a source was quoted telling DNA, "It was through Ekta's show Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani that Rithvik made his TV debut and later gained popularity with her Pavitra Rishta. Even the dance show he is hosting is produced by Ekta. So, when the offer for the film came to Rithvik, he did not think twice before giving a nod."
