A few days ago, we told you that Ekta Kapoor is taking the horrex film franchise, Ragini MMS, to the world of digital entertainment and has finalised Riya Sen as one of her leading ladies.
Now, we can tell you that the producer has zeroed in on the actress who will play Ragini in the web series tentatively titled Ragini MMS 2.2. and it is Karishma Sharma, who was seen in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2.

The story will revolve around Simran (Riya) and Ragini. The eerie happenings that they witness at an old deserted college form the heart of the story.
Running behind the scandalous MMS CD, which has thrilling mysteries and dark secrets to unwind, is what awaits the two in search to fight the freakish energy that surrounds them.

As of now, Riya is taking workshops to prepare for her role in Ragini MMS 2.2. SpotboyE.com has it that Riya will be seen as a married lady in her web debut.
In an exclusive interview with SpotboyE.com, Ekta had revealed that her web plans with her new company ALTBalaji will involve taking on topics which are risqué for television. "TV is fine, but it's so massy that you can’t take every story to the drawing rooms. On a digital platform however, you can say whatever you want to say,” she had said.

For the uninitiated, Ekta has decided launch 42 new web series under her digital platform ALTBalaji till March 2018 and one of them will be Ragini MMS 2.2.
