Nach Baliye Fame Legless Dancer Vinod Thakur Collapses, Admitted To ICU

Legless, wheelchair-bound Dancer Vinod Thakur of Nach Baliye Season 6 and India's Got Talent fame collapsed near Malad en route the Gateway of India, in the wee hours of Sunday.

He was rushed to the Raksha Hospital at Malad and admitted to the ICU in a serious condition, according to social worker Nevada Putman whose NGO Nevada Putman Foundation is handling Thakur's India Gate to Gateway of India wheelchair journey.

Vinod Thakur started his journey on his wheelchair on 18 March from India Gate at Delhi covering almost 1500 kms on wheelchair in a span of 40 days.  He was originally scheduled to reach Gateway of India in Mumbai on 30th April.

Dr Pranav Kabra of Raksha Hospital who attended to Thakur said he is suffering from severe dehydration, low BP, irregular heartbeat and other medical issues due the strain associated with the 1500 km wheelchair journey and is under treatment.

Nevada Putman said that Thakur is likely to stay in the hospital for at least 2-3 days till his condition stabilises.

Thakur is a dancer, performer and stunt master and also plays wheelchair cricket. He was attempting a Guinness World  Record in association with the Nevada Putnan Foundation of Mumbai for the longest wheelchair journey, his spokesperson said.
