Television actress Sumona Chakravarti revealed SHOCKING
details of a recent incident where an auto driver assaulted her father.
In an interview with a leading daily, Sumona gave
insights about the incident where she said, "We stay near Seven Hills
Hospital, Andheri (East). My mom was unwell, so dad was taking her to there. No
auto driver agreed to go. Finally, one stopped but wanted higher fare. My dad
first argued, but later backed off.” Now, we have all had minor arguments with
drivers at one point in our life. But this one spiraled down. The actress
further added, “But this guy hit my dad on the head with a rock, then punched
and kicked him. My mom stopped a car and took him to hospital."
A police complaint was made and the cops got hold of the
man who is identified as Amit Gupta. “Gupta was booked under Sections 324
(assault), 337 (causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), and sections of the
Motor Vehicle Act. He was later released on bail of Rs 5,000,” said Senior
inspector Anil Pophale of Powai police station.
On the work front, Sumona is popular as Manju, her
character from The Kapil Sharma Show. She is one of those few persons who has
been with Kapil on the show since the very beginning. She is also a part of
Colors' popular TV show Dev.
