Sunidhi sees red as The Voice India makers replace her without her knowledge

We told you that the second season of the reality show on &TV, The Voice India will be judged by Shaan, Shekhar Ravjiani and Neeti Mohan (Awesome threesome: Shaan-Shekhar-Neeti to judge The Voice India Kids, June 7).

Sunidhi Chauhan, who was a part of the first instalment, will be missing this time around – with Neeti taking her place.

Now, SpotboyE has it that the Kamli singer was mighty pissed with the makers (Endemol India). Reason – they didn’t even inform her that she was no longer a part of the show.

The story goes that when the makers asked Sunidhi to continue as the judge in the second season, she informed them that she had hiked her fee and would work with them only as per the revised fee. The producers took her leave, promising her that they would revert at the earliest.

The talented singer waited patiently willing her phone to ring, convincing herself that such negotiations often take time.

Meanwhile, the show producers went ahead and finalized Neeti to step into her shoes.

A source close to Sunidhi says, “She was under the impression that the makers were trying to work out the figures and would come back to her with an offer. Imagine her shock when she heard from a crew member that Neeti had been brought in, in her place!”

Not one to take it lying down, a furious Sunidhi confronted the producers. The source adds, “Sunidhi gave them an earful and told them point-blank that she did not have a problem being replaced. But they should have had the basic courtesy to inform her about the replacement.”
