REVEALED! Kapil Sharma Was Once Just An Extra In A Punjabi Music Video

When Kapil Sharma decided to campaign for Gurpreet Singh Waraich aka Ghuggi in this year’s Punjab Assembly elections, we were all surprised. Turns out that was just a gesture of gratitude because Kapil Sharma started his career in front of the cameras with a brief cameo in Ghuggi’s music video.

Ghuggi, who is a comedian-singer turned AAP member, was one of the biggest stars in the comedy circuit in the past decade and Kapil Sharma was just starting out.

In the video, Ghuggi is seen dressed as a groom, leading a baraat on a mare. And Kapil is part of a trio of tambourine players who provide back-up to the lead singer. Check out the video:

The song Apne Viah Da Dukh, was first released before 2010 and since then Kapil has come a long way. He had recently grabbed headlines for the wrong reason, thanks to a drunken altercation with Sunil Grover on a flight from Australia. We had earlier told you about Kapil Sharma’s filmi debut too.

For most people Abbas-Mustan’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon is Kapil Sharma’s debut Hindi film. But that wasn't his Bollywood debut.

Kapil was also part of Sunil Pal’s directorial venture, Bhavnao Ko Samjho which found a place in Guinness Book Of World Records for featuring 51 comedians in a single film. But, this too wasn’t his debut film.

Which project then, you ask?

Kapil Sharma kick-started his Bollywood career with a film starring Harman Baweja, Genelia D’Souza and Nana Patekar. The film produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Anees Bazmee, was tentatively titled It's My Life and was announced in 2008. He essayed the role of Nana’s servant in the film.

Hasn’t Kapil come a long way from his humble beginnings?
