Despite Kratika Sengar’s Lovemaking Scene, Kasam Fails To Find A Spot In Top 10
However, producer of Kasam, Ekta Kapoor, does not let the No. 1 position slip from her hands, continues to reign with Mouni Roy-starrer Naagin 2
After going through several ups and downs in their
relationship, Rishi (Ssharad Malhotra) and Tanuja (Kratika Sengar) finally
consummate their marriage on Colors show Kasam... Tere Pyaar Ki. However,
as pivotal as the scene might be, Kratika refused to shoot the sequence owing
to her marriage with Nikitin Dheer and hence, a body double had to
summoned.
The tricky scene was pulled off and the episode aired on January 12. While we
were expecting the episode to fetch good numbers for the show, it was
surprising to see that it didn’t help the family drama at all. If the latest TV
ratings – Week 2 (January 6 - 12) -- are anything to go by, Kasam does not
feature in the Top 10. In fact, the ratings fell considerably as compared to
Week 1 (December 30 – January 5).

Moving on to the most-watched show of the said week; no
prizes for guessing that Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 2 (Colors) topped the
leaderboard, yet again. Looks like, the show has managed to cast a spell on the
audiences.

Furthermore, Colors’ Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki moved
up the ladder and acquired the No. 2 spot. It’s good news for the makers since
it had slipped to No. 4 in Week 1. The anticipation of the upcoming twist
surely worked in their (makers’) favour.
Love stories blossomed in Week 2 of 2017, for two shows
which currently revolve around couples in love performed better as compared to
Week 1. Case in point, Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya and Colors show Udaan. While
Kumkum Bhagya moved up 2 notches and stood at No. 3, Udaan moved from No. 9 to
6.

Up next, The Kapil Sharma Show was lacklustre in Week 2. Its guests – Aditya Roy Kapur - Shraddha Kapoor (January 7, Saturday) and Himesh Reshammiya - Iulia Vantur (January 8,Sunday) failed to weave magic. It dropped from No. 3 to 4.

Making a roaring re-entry into the Top 10 is the Divyanka Tripathi-starrer Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. It acquired the 9th spot. With the new entrant Suhail blackmailing Ruhi, it’s going to be a thrilling track from now on. That’s Ekta for you, again!
