Hina Khan’s Exit Weakens Yeh Rishta..., Ekta’s Naagin 2 Is Still No.1
Here is the weekly dope on your favourite TV shows. Bigg Boss 10 rises 4 notches, Kumkum Bhagya moves to No2
Week 49 (December 2-8), saw Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 2, performing magnificently by once again winning the converted No. 1 position.
Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya , starring Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha has climbed from the No. 6 in week 48 to No.2 this week. Abhi (Shabbir) and Pragya’s (Sriti) romance and the downfall of Tanu-Aliya (Leena Jumani-Shikha Singh) is really helping the show.
Sony’s shows eared the 3rd and 4th positions this week. The Kapil Sharma Show moved up 2 notches to be the 3rd most watched show in the week.

The role-reverse of Rithvik Dhanjani and Paritosh Tripathi in Super Dancer in the Nov 3 episode and Ranveer-Vaani’s appearance on Nov 4 helped the children’s dance reality show to move up from No. 9 to No. 4.
Post the exit of Hina Khan from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on November 29, the show has shown a drop in viewership (Hatred For Hina Khan Made Karan Mehra Quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai!, Dec 15). While last week, it garnered 6079,000 impressions, it got only 5393,000 this time. In an interview recently, Hina had told us that her fans weren’t happy with her decision to quit the show (Hina Khan: Fans have threatened to kill themselves if I quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Nov 25).

Star Plus’ shows Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein both witnessed a drop. Ironically both moved down by 3 positions – SNS from No. 2 to No.5 and YHM from No.4 to No.7.

Colors’ Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, starring Rubina Dilaik and Vivian DSena, saw a fall of 140,000 in its average impressions even though it climbed up by one position from last week.

Bigg Boss 10, was remarkable this week, rising from its 28th position in the last 3 weeks to the 24th position this week. Seems Swami Omji’s antics (Bigg Boss 10, Day 51: Swamiji URINIATES; VJ Bani And Gaurav Have A BIG SHOWDOWN, Dec 6), and VJ Bani’s break down (Bigg Boss 10, Day 53: VJ Bani Finds Solace In Jason’s Arms!, Dec 8), has helped the show to some extent. The impressions increased by 289,000 this week.
