The Pratyusha Banerjee case has gripped the attention of the entire country. The late actress’ boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh has been charged with abetment of suicide (Just In: Rahul Raj Singh charged with abetment of suicide in Pratyusha case, Apr 5). Rahul has already filed for anticipatory bail and his hearing is due at Bombay High Court tomorrow. The time is right to talk to Pratyusha’s lawyer Falguni Brahmabhatt. Excerpts:
How did you get the Pratyusha case? Did you know her?
I think I am a good lawyer and people trust me to do a fair and good job. A friend of Pratyusha approached me to represent her side.
What do you have to say about the mystery surrounding Pratyusha’s death?
It’s either murder or abetment to suicide. We have given some clues to the cops for a detailed investigation. It’s not suicide for sure.
