Video: Arjun Attends Ex-Girlfriend Sonakshi’s Screening Of Akira
The actress may have turned down Arjun-starrer Mubaraka but seems, there’s no bad blood between the two
Looks like former flames Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha are trying to
forget their past and develop an amicable equation. Last night was yet another
effort in that direction. Sonakshi invited the Ki & Ka actor for the
special screening of her film Akira at Sunny Super Sound in Juhu. Arjun showed
up for the movie and lent support to the actress for her first female-centric
movie. We hear, the two were quite friendly towards each other throughout the
evening and displayed no signs of awkwardness.
With this appearance, Arjun has made it clear that there’s no bad
blood between the two despite the recent turn of events. You may recall that
Sonakshi was offered Mubaraka opposite Arjun but she turned the film down
(Arjun called up ex-flame Sonakshi, but she said ‘NO’, Aug 31).
We told you, a few days ago, how the Ishaqzaade actor specially called
Sona up and requested her to sign the Anees Bazmee-directed movie. In a bid to
maintain a friendly equation with her ex, Sona promised him that she will give
it a serious thought. However, the actress refused to be a part of the movie
after hearing the script. She felt that her role was not meaty enough. One
wondered if Sonakshi’s refusal of Mubaraka would rub Arjun the wrong way but
the actor seems to have taken it in his stride.
