So here’s a little more scoop from the world of Arjun Kapoor’s Mubarakan. We told you that Arjun Kapoor is playing double role in the Aneez Bazmee’s flick & now we also know tad bit more about his roles.
SpotboyE.com has it that the dual characters essayed by Arjun in this film will be brothers, & one of them will be a Sardar. You heard it right! Arjun will play a Sardar onscreen for the first time.
We have also heard that Arjun is working hard to get a proper Punjabi diction for this role.
A few days back Anil Kapoor announced on the social media that if everything goes well, Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan will hit the screens on July 28, 2017. (Mubarakan! Anil Kapoor Shares A Happy News, Sept 5)
The film not only has Arjun in a double role but will also see his real-life chacha Anil playing his uncle. SpotboyE.com has already told you how Athiya Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz have been roped in to play 2 of the 3 leading ladies (Athiya Shetty to star opposite 'good friend' Arjun Kapoor, Aug 21), (BUZZ: Ileana D'cruz opposite Arjun Kapoor in Mubaraka, Aug 22). The third spot has since then been occupied by Amy Jackson.
BTW, Sonakshi too was a strong contender for the film. However Arjun’s close buddy refused the film. Reason: The film has 3 heroines and Sonakshi wasn’t sure how much substance her role will have in such a scenario. Considering the fact that she is doing heroine-oriented films like Akira -- she is even playing the title role in it -- Mubaraka’s script didn’t interest Sonakshi.(Arjun Called Up Ex-Flame Sonakshi, But She Said ‘NO’, Aug 31)
Well, we’re sure Arjun’s fans would have loved to see him romance Sonakshi again, but as of now, guys be excited to see your favourite star play a Sardar on screen.
