The film Jagga Jasoos went on the floors in the
year 2014. All was hunky dory, the lead couple was madly in love. And then
suddenly it all came crashing down. Bollywood’s sweethearts split, not on very
pleasant terms and it affected the shoot and the fate of the film.
Due to the couple's personal issues the shoot was
called off for months at end. The Morocco schedule of the film was the
trickiest as the former lovers didn’t want to see each other face to face, let
alone be alone in a foreign land.
Supposed to release in 2015, the film’s release
date played peek-a-boo with its fans. No one really knew as to when Jagga
Jasoos would finally see a theatrical release.
But now SpotboyE.com has confirmed news that an
April 2017 release date has been finalised for the film.
Since this Comedy-Drama has faced numerous
roadblocks already, makers want to ensure that its promotional campaign is a
smooth sail.
A source told SpotboyE.com, that a meeting was held
where UTV heads asked Ranbir and Katrina to fully co-operate during promotions
as there isn’t much buzz about the film at the moment.
Now the two will take charge of all the promotional activities, right from city
tours to attending various shows. They will let go of their personal issues and
will give it whatever it takes to hard sell the film to the audience.
We know that the two did not part on an amicable
note. But now they will need to put their troubled past behind them and spend
their days and nights together promoting the hell out of Jagga Jassoos.
How well will they the fare in the promotional
rounds? Now that’s a true test of their acting abilities.
