Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan has been in news over the past few days -- sometimes over its star cast, and sometimes, over those who could not be a part of it.

Just yesterday, we gave you details of Arjun Kapoor’s role in the film. Kapoor munda is playing a double role and the two characters are brothers. Most interesting part is that one of them is a Sardar (Arjun Kapoor To Play A Sardar In Mubarakan,Sept 6).
Now, we bring you details about the leading ladies of the film. SpotboyE.com had told you that Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty have been roped in for the film, which also features real-life chacha Anil Kapoor as Arjun’s uncle. (BUZZ: Ileana D'cruz opposite Arjun Kapoor in Mubaraka, Aug 22).
Search for the third heroine was on for a long time and later, there was buzz about Amy Jackson stepping in. But here’s bad news for Amy’s fans! SpotboyE.com has it that Amy is not a part of the film.
BTW, Sonakshi was a strong contender for the film. Arjun had personally called Sonkashi asking her to consider the film. However, she turned down the offer citing that her role wasn’t meaty enough (Arjun Called Up Ex-Flame Sonakshi, But She Said ‘NO’, Aug 31).
