Video: What’s Amitabh Bachchan’s gift for his fans this Ganesh Utsav?

Big B will also shoot for the video, which will be directed by Shoojit Sircar

Ganesh Chaturthi is only 3 days away. To mark the festival, Amitabh Bachchan has something special lined up for all the devotees of Ganpati. The megastar has joined hands with the officials of Mumbai’s famous temple, Siddhivinayak and recorded the Ganpati aarti in his deep baritone. The Piku actor recorded the song at late Aadesh Shrivastava’s studio recently.

We hear, the megastar will also shoot a video for the song in the next few days. Portions of the song will be shot inside the temple in Prabhadevi. The video will be directed by his Piku director Shoojit Sircar while the music has been arranged by music director duo Rohan-Vinayak.

It is still unclear whether Big B’s version of the aarti will be played inside the temple during the 10-day long festival. Ravi Jadhav, the Deputy Executive Officer of Siddhivinayak Trust was quoted as saying, “There was a plan to have Amitabh Bachchan record the aarti. But in the temple, the aarti is always sung live.”

Big B’s rendition of the aarti will be available on the Internet as well as on CDs.
