Amid the lockdown due to the sudden outbreak of coronavirus, there is a spike in the cases of domestic violence. Many bollywood celebrities and regional actors have been raising voice against this practice and even requested people to report if they encounter such incident. Tollywood Riddi Sen also shared his thought on this and penned down a long post on Facebook.

He wrote, “Hanging the rapists associated to the Nirbhaya case changed anything? No . There are innumerable amount of people in our society who glorifies the idea of rape/gang rape/ objectifying women behind their social masks . This needs to come to an end . This is a disease , worse than a virus or a bacteria . One needs to stand up against these whenever , wherever , however they can . And as for the entertainment industry , they are hugely responsible for this , unnecessarily objectifying women in innumerable films and web series , the forced inclusion of item numbers and people like Badshah coming up with nonsensical songs where in every single line people like him shamelessly glorifies the idea of objectifying a woman , these are met with millions of views and the YouTube comment section becomes a garbage , where mask are torn ,reflecting the true mentality of many.”
