Narrating his own family experiences with his two children, Nadiadwala began by saying, “Today's youth has changed and their tastes are different. So, today I took a cue from a lot of youth around me and so much so that I even observed my two sons- Subhan and Sufyan and touched upon what they read, watch, how they think, how they discuss, what is their point of view, their mindset. So, keeping all that into account, Chhichhore was a subject that when I saw my kids, it got further and further fleshed out. When I saw Nitesh Tiwari had come with the script to me before Dangal, and it began to grow upon me as the children grew.”
We asked him one pertinent question that the content from the trailer looks pretty bold, so for a 15-year-old we agree, but for a 10-year-old, isn't it too much? Sajid gave the example of Kabir Singh and stated that it was one movie which was A-rated and what happened was 14-year-olds were entering into the theatre as 18. “So your question is correct but that would tantamount to deprivation. Hence, I would take the classic example of Kabir Singh where the moment you deprive a 14 or a 15-year-old of the subject once he's got to know of it; so I would again take a cue from there and trust me, Chhicchore is one of the best films I have ever made.”
Speaking of the film, SpotboyE.com had exclusively brought you the story that the movie has been granted a U/A certificate by the CBFC without compromising much on the content. Chhichhore marks the reunion of Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios after they delivered hits like Judwaa 2 and Baaghi 2, together. The film is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, director of the blockbuster Dangal and will be releasing on September 6, 2019.
