Alia Bhatt's Darlings is doing wonders on Netflix and it has been taking the headlines by a storm. The film also stars Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah, and this epic drama has been garnering praise from all quarters. However, some seem to be unhappy with Alia's attempt.
Well, lately netizens have been very critical and they have often pointed out several nooks in the film, and this time, it was Alia Bhatt's film that has landed in trouble. It's hard to believe, but the film mired controversy just because of a hair cleanser.
We'd say it's time Bollywood focused on details here on, no matter how good the plot and the film's premise might be.
It all happened when a LinkedIn post highlighted how branding went wrong in Alia Bhatt's Darlings. Interestingly, the film freatured Kama Ayurveda. Case on point: As to how Alia’s lower-middle class character was able to spend around Rs 1500 on a hair cleanser of a premium brand to seduce her hubby Badru (Vijay Varma).
Sadly, this has invited mixed reviews about the scene. While many had a rather neutral stand about the issue, some trolled the makers for this scene.
But, the good news is that audience is loving the film and soon it will be going local as the story and it's characters will b adopted in Tamil and Telugu. The makers pointed out that it won't be dubbed in these regional languages.
