Just two days ago, Pakistan Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari wrote a letter to UN demanding Priyanka Chopra to be removed from the post of UN Goodwill Ambassador of Peace. With the brewing tension between India and Pakistan; neighbouring country’s Human Rights minister Shireen Mazari penned a letter. Though the news spread like wildfire, the actress kept calm and mum. Now, the National Award Winning actor Ayushmann Khurrana has come out in support of the actress.



At an event, the actor reacted to this entire controversy and spoke about how the Quantico actress represents India in true sense. The Andhadhun actor also said that as the actress’ father was an army officer, hence this makes her an apt person to represent India. The actor was quoted saying, “I guess Priyanka Chopra represents our country really well and she is not just an Indian icon she is a global icon. Being a daughter of an army officer, I believe she is truly a very good representative of India” as per an article in Pinkvilla.

Kangana Ranaut who is known for her outspoken attitude too walked up in support of Priyanka’s “Jai Hind” post on Twitter. As soon as the news went viral, some netizens came in support of the actress, while some called her ‘hypocrite’.
