Ranveer Singh, who was love-struck by the statue and said, “Can I take it home?” To this Deepika replied, “Now when you’re here shooting for ’83 and miss me, come here.”

This year has begun on a great note for the actress, as she has not only unveiled her statue at Madame Tussauds, but shared the Vogue international cover with 13 other global female superstars, including Scarlett Johansson and Korean star Doona Bae among others.
Deepika is currently working on her film Chapaak directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Buzz is that Deepika has a cameo in Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film ’83, directed by Kabir Khan. Ranveer will play the role of cricketer, Kapil Dev and Deepika will appear in a brief scene as the cricketer’s wife, Romi Bhatia.
