On the seventh anniversary of the film’s release, the director tweeted about how the film ruined his life. Coming as a surprise, he goes on to explain as to how everyone wants him to repeat the same thing again and again and have those expectations from him as a filmmaker. Anurag Kashyap took to Twitter yesterday and wrote, "Seven years back is exactly when my life got ruined. Since then all everyone wants me to do is the same thing over and over again. Whereas I have only been unsuccessfully trying to get away from that expectation. Anyways hope that Saadhe Saati is over by the end of 2019.”
