Madhur Bhandarkar is known for making films that dig out the harsh realities. And, well, that surely isn't a cakewalk as the filmmaker doesn't only put in extensive research into his projects, but he makes sure that he chooses issues and stories that need to be highlighted to the society. Fashion, Page 3 and Heroine are among some of his works that opened to a great response, both critically and publicly. Now, adding to his hard-hitting filmography, Madhur recently announced his next titled 'India Lockdown', a film that is going to be inspired by true events.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh first broke the news by revealing that the casting for India Lockdown is underway and is expected to go on floors from January 2021. "MADHUR BHANDARKAR ANNOUNCES NEXT FILM... IT'S OFFICIAL... #MadhurBhandarkar announces his next directorial venture... Titled #IndiaLockdown... Inspired by true events... Casting underway... Produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and PJ Motion Pictures... Starts Jan 2021," read Taran's tweet, which was soon re-shared by Madhur.
As the name suggests, the film will be based on the lockdown which was imposed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. We really can't wait to know more about this exciting project!

Recently, Madhur was hitting the headlines for accusing Karan Johar of stealing his title for the latter's Netflix show, The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. KJo, however, was quick to issue an apology and tweak his show's name.
